The festival is an amazing event and the list of authors who are going to be there is staggering and I'm really happy to be a part of it.

Its on Sunday, September 13th. I'll be on the Syncopated panel at 10am (not sure which stage thats on yet) with Brendan Burford, our editor, and Alex Holden and some of the other contributors.


Then at 11am I'll be on this panel on the International Stage and Borough Hall Plaza:

The International Graphic Novel. Three acclaimed graphic novelists who tackle big social and political themes in their work discuss what the form can accomplish, from an international and domestic perspective. Featuring Guy Delisle (The Burma Chronicles), Peter Kuper (Diario de Oaxaca: A Sketchbook Journal of Two Years in Mexico) and Sarah Glidden (How To Understand Israel In 60 Days Or Less). Moderated by Matt Madden.

Every year Rocketship, an amazing comics shop in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, puts up a show of original art by Brooklyn cartoonists. Ill be showing pages from my work in progress, How to Understand Israel in Fourteen Days or Less (that's right, I changed the title), including some of the final watercolored pages.

The reception is this Friday, July 31st.
