some early reviews

Some early reviews are in from people who have read the black and white advance copies of the book!

There's this one from Publisher's Weekly:

And then they have very nice things to say about the book on the Savage Critic podcast, as well as great things about my friends Aaron Renier and Julia Wertz's new books. Aaron's is first at about six minutes in:

8 Days Out

A few years ago I made a sketchbook travelogue called 8 Days Out which followed my brother and my trip from New York to LA as he was moving out west. It was an 80 page minicomic which I made about 50 copies of and afterwards decided I probably would not print again since its expensive/time consuming. But I'd love to share it in a more manageable form, so if you would like to read the whole thing its now up in the comics section of this website in its entirety here:

Or available as a PDF by clicking this link:

Enjoy!

A Preview and a Clarification

Over on the Vertigo blog they've put up a short post on the use of the term "graphic novel" when referring to a memoir along with a three page preview from the book.
